Master study course Business Informatics

If industrial company, service provider or public sector – there is hardly any organization that gets along without information systems these days. The studies deal with the basic principles, methods, models and tools for developing, applying and using information and communication systems in business and administration.

The master study course Business Informatics can be started in summer or winter term. It lasts 3 semesters and is structured into compulsory and compulsory optional module.

7 modules with a total scope of 66 credit points must be studied in the compulsory field. In the compulsory optional field, modules from the compulsory optional catalogues economics, computer science and models & applications with a total scope of 24 credit points must be attended.
90 credit points in total must be acquired for passing the master examination.

The master study course Business Informatics is offered in German language. Single modules, the module examination included, are offered in English language only.

There is the opportunity to obtain a double degree of the University of Rostock and the National Research University of Information Technology, Mechanics and Optics in Saint Petersburg (Russia). Then, the regular period of study amounts to 4 terms with 120 credit points in total.
