Domain: Intelligent Assistance


Assistance systems support human beings in their professional and private everyday life. They use various sensors for recognizing situation and supportively intervening action processes and use knowledge about structures and the meaning of actions and situations. They can either support patients suffering from dementia in everyday life actions as well as scientist when selecting and using analysis methods, sports persons in training or workers during assemblies. Methodologically, assistance systems use various technologies from the fields human-machine-interaction, sensor-based state estimation and artificial intelligence.
