Elective field Visual Computing M.Sc.

In the elective „Fundamentals of computer science“, modules with a scope of 12 credit points must be selected from the adjacent compulsory optional catalogue in consideration of the term situation.

These modules serve for improving the knowledge on fundamentals of computer science. Thus, the elective field can be used for closing existing gaps from the previous bachelor education, thus improving the comprehension for the modules of the compulsory optional fields visual computing and computer science. Not selected modules from the bachelor study course Computer Science can also be selected for this purpose from this elective field.

In the elective field „Applications and non-technical subjects“, modules with a scope of 12 credit points must be selected from the total offers of the University of Rostock or the adjacent compulsory optional catalogue in consideration of the term situation. Modules with a high applicability can, for instance, be found in the fields Mechanical Engineering and Geoinformatics.

The modules from the total range of courses can only be attended if there are sufficient capacities.

All modules from the elective part are not marked but assessed with „passed“ or „not passed“. Thus, they are not included into the final mark.
