The first four terms serve for acquiring basic knowledge and skills in practical, theoretical and technical computer science and mathematics. The modules in these terms are compulsory, i.e. they must be attended by all students. 

There is an option in the “seminar computer science” which lasts over the second and third term and where several topics per term are offered. Every student must attend one lecture per term.
