Hans-Jörg Schulz

I am a postdoctoral researcher with my main research interests concerning graph visualization and exploration. My focus lies mostly on the development of exploratory visualization techniques for networks and hierarchies. Currently, I'm working on a DFG project to extend principles from graph visualization towards heterogenous information landscapes, containing multiple interlinked data sets from various sources. As their quantity and heterogeneity pose additional challenges to the visualization process, this covers the entire visualization pipeline from the efficient preprocessing of these data all the way to the interaction methods on the resulting visualizations. In my free time, I'm an avid hiker and climber, and like to enjoy the outdoors.
